This design, while quite simple compared to some of my others, continues to be one of my favourites. Long-eared bats have the most beautiful patterns of concentric ridges in their ears which help with echolocation. I simplified the silhouette of the ears, stylised the internal markings and selected a high-contrast, monochromatic colourway for a mesmeric quality befitting the close association between bats and myths of vampirism.
